Book Review: Her Daughter's Eyes
Last week, I went to a Bridal Shower at a great Margarita Bar :) yum. As a part of the festivities, we were to bring a wrapped used book (one we've read and liked). We did a white elephant exchange and I ended up with this book.
The book is about two sisters, one of which is in high school and pregnant. Her mother died of cancer and her father "checked out" of life with his daughters. She hides her pregnancy and gives birth at home with the help of her little sister (also in high school).
I won't ruin the plot, but it was a great, easy read (218 pp) and at times heart breaking. I can only hope that I have a good relationship with my four girls and I would never miss one of them being pregnant.
